What are they hovering around now? mine isn't MS... Then again I didn't pay $60 either... I see many 2006-p listed on ebay, the non-p/non-rcm steel cores aren't as numerous, and the P-zinc I rarely notice. If anyone cares to hook me up with one of these "not rare" regular 'P' penny - feel free to message me :)

/\ oh? I admittedly didn't read all the fine print when I signed up, but I honestly didn't expect anyone to take that as anything more than a joke. :) Thanks for the "heads up" on the rules though. BTW, (and I appologize for the tangent) does a members ebay user feedback come at all into play for buying & selling here?

It would depend on the person buying/selling but can't hurt :).

Saying the dealer in hamilton found a "trucklaod".... is in fact incorrect. Unless you consider 500 pieces a truckload. Because that is the actual # give or take a few. This coin is a tough find. I search for them all the time in mixed $25 boxes. Hard to come by.

Even if only, the point is this 500 units variety is not remotely rare, if or when these coins hit the market it will become a 10 to 20.00 item. The coin needs certification and has no instant eye or wow factor as other off planchets or double struck versions.

Personally I have looked through 6 penny boxes a few years ago and found 3 of these, maybe I got lucky but I have heard a few others with the same success. Also the price has already dramatically dropped from a few years ago and will probably continue to drop.

Also if one dealer found many rolls of this variety, the odds are there is many more out there to discover

Yep for sure, I believe there was a CFF member that got a full roll from the bank as well.

Most of his 500 coins have been certified by ICCS. And, his coins have already hit the market. Please guide me to where I can pick these up for $10.00 - $20.00 ;)

Knowing the numbers on this variety, what would you pay?

brexzz1, I was figuratively speaking meaning finding 500 of a so called rare coin in other words...That's a lot ...hence the terminology of finding a Truck load. Sounds like you might be from Hamilton

You can now pickup circulated examples for 20-40.... MS examples $90 for 63, $150 for 64, $250 for 65. But I do see MS-65 dropping to 150ish in a few years.

I believe that Coins&Canada values the 2006-P zinc at $0.01 (face value) and the 2006-P steel at $40.00. Some of the prior posts here have far different prices. I get (and use) most pricing info for Canadian coins from "Canadian Coin News", but that paper never lists any of the newer coins. Thankfully my newest Whitman folder DOES NOT list the 2006 no-logo magnetic cent. I was happy and just crossed it off of my want list.
