I removed the defective links and instead simply put in a link to my guide on the subject which has working links. Should be better and save space.

In my opinion, Coinmadz and his own grading company NAC are of very serious concern. I have already read enough on the web (multiple websites... and have been in touch with multiple collectors who agree) to know that most coins are cleaned, VERY overgraded, with prices that seem low for the grade but are actually HIGHER than the true grade's worth... Buyers beware!

Then again, the cleaning is fairly light, and the mark isn't really distracting. So the $155 might have been worth it.

I just responded to someone who asked about UScoinstore:

https://goccf.com/t/2393&whichpage=5

I am a former patron of this outfit. They have a very high rating as they sell something about every minnute on e-bay. However, here are several problems with this outfit in my opinion:

First, they have been unresponsive to my complaints. I put in a large order and they only complied with a portion of it. They did nothing to remedy the situation and were absolutely unresponsive to my e-mails. I often got back my e-mails because their mailbox was full. When my e-mails did go through, I got no response.

Second, they do not post pics. This means that several coins that I have received were not in as good condition as expected (their coins are usually proofs or uncirculated - but the devil is in the details there). They post hundreds of coins each day, so there are never any pics of the coin you are specifically buying and they don't bother to grade the coins. Therefore, for example, you run the risk of receiving proof coins with spots, marks and even fingerprints on them (yes, I have received coins with spots, marks and fingerprints on them).

Third, there is usually a lag time for at least ten days to fill your order.

Fourth, shipping costs can get out of hand. They charge $2.99 for an order and then $.99 cents afterwards. I order 50 plus coins and paid a lot for shipping a $1.83 package.

Fifth, I have received unfounded complaints from them (which they eventually cleared up). It seems that they are computerized. There was a malfunction where I had complaints lodged against me on e-bay from uscoinstore. As I said, they cleared it up, but I feel that this shows how they run their operation. Assuming there was a legitimate complaint, they did nothing to contact me first, but automatically lodged an unfounded complaint. And the irony there is that your courtsey to contact them will go unheaded, because if your experience is like mine you probably won't receive a response.

Sixth, the last problem again goes to their size. They sell so much, your negative feedback means absolutely nothing. So you really have no recourse against such a large seller.

So, take the above into consideration.

There's one guy who has been selling cleaned junk that looks like it was marked up by crayons. I don't know his user ID, but I've come across his auctions while combing the seated liberty sections, and had a similar reaction to you snowman.

THIS guy. The fact that he has 99.8% feedback shows how meaningless feedback is.

I have to say I'm glad US Coinstore is recoqnised for what they are.I spent a couple thousand with this guy and ultimately he tried to screw me.
Its true about false tracking numbers provided and downright lies.
I thought id be safe with a big dealer , not so.Messages went ignored.
He only replied when I mentioned a lawsuit and I was refunded.I would never go near them again.

Buying on E-Bay has become a Job for me, in that I must do so
much research on the seller. I e-mail each seller to ensure that
the item was not cleaned/whizzed or has any defect. I must save
that e-mail and if winning the bid ensure that the coin is as
stated. Prior to purchase ensure reading the description on
quality and qty, because the posting can be deceptive. I just
purchased this week bank rolls of the 2009 Lincoln cents at a
good price. I have sold out local of my supply and do believe
I was able to purchase on e-bay for less than I would of purchasing
in gross here local.

I would strongly avoid seller elizabeth-7722. This seller is misrepresents the coin and misrepresented advice given to correct this. Link to thread ... https://goccf.com/t/51031

Beware to all you use E-Bay, Do be very careful of this person, he did the old Bait and Switch, then after complaining, used profanity like a sailor( no offense to all sailors). His user ID is
"tommycash7" ( 5220). Promised a MS-65-66, received a banged up unc, and I am being nice on the grade.

His immature, unprofessional, childish manner in which he curses is a disgrace. Not to mention he showed one coin, and sent another!
I would be glad to explain to anyone, write me, Good luck, Mike...

I would like to add professional_coinauctioneers. These people are completely irrational, bullying, and threatening. I showed interest in three graded coins and entered into an ongoing discussion with the owner. She offered to lower the price on the three together by going off ebay and avoiding the fees, thus passing the savings on to me. The were claimed to be pop 1,2,and 3, and the finest in the world. As we were negotiating on the price and I was asking lots of questions with the money involved, the answers were vague and sidestepping. I did more research, here and Heritage Auctions, and a few other places, and found that the population numbers were meaningless since NGC had graded so few, and that there were ample examples available in Europe for about $40.

As I brought my due diligence concerns to the seller, I was met with hostility, accusations of arrogance, and was told that I had entered into a contract by stating my purchasing intentions in an email, and that I better get an attorney who will travel to Texas. The father of the owner, the former owner himself, then called my local count Sheriff's Department in Florida and filed a complaint of harassment for responding to their accusations in return emails.

To make matters worse, they have gone after my wife on ebay with a shill "buyer" of one of my coins I was putting up for sale to raise some cash, who made an offer that was accepted. He then refused to pay. An unpaid item claim was filed. He continued to refuse to pay, and ebay put an Unpaid Item Strike on him. His screen name is myleftgolfnut. No other sellers get to see this strike, or be warned in feedback against the buyer, and nothing happens to the buyer, except that he might get suspended if he proves to be a deadbeat 3 times, according to ebay.

Then, he turns around and leaves negative feedback for my wife, who, with all of 90 feedbacks, had her rating drop from 100% to 96.9%, which as we all know is the death knell for a seller. ebay has basically just shrugged and said they can't remove it without a court order. Pure BS. I am done with that place.

Thanks for letting me vent.
