77powerseller. AVOID THIS GUY. He lists high end coins and takes them down every time when they don't sell for enough. Seen it at least a dozen times. No return policy, rude in feedback too.

One I should have added awile back: A_Macero. This seller is a former CCF member (AMAC) who was booted for many of the same reasons that prompted me to list him here. He overgrades, mis-attributes varieties, and makes fantasy comparisons of value. If you choose to purchase from him, ignore all the hype and expect a common-grade, common variety.

I got this email exchange from tinkers emporium last night. Their listing said, 'looking forward to your email!'
Hello, I want to be sure that your BU 2005-2008 Penny Rolls are Business Strike. If they are in fact NOT satin finish I would like one roll each of 2005, 2006, 2007, & 2008 Denver penny rolls for a combined price. I will offer $21.00 shipped. Thank you for your consideration. -Kurt (The buy it now price was $23.50 for the four items including shipping)
Do you see a check mark in the make a offer box! If you do I don't know how it got there. Ron - tinkers_emporium
One, you didn't answer my question and two, if you didn't like my offer then a simple no would have sufficed, I'll take my business to someone less rude. - captainkurt420
You will have to, you are blocked from bidding on any of my items. An ego like yours I don't want to deal with! I feel sorry for your wife if you have one. Ron - tinkers_emporium
Seems kinda harsh considering I was asking for a $2.50 discount. If he had answered my question and said no to my offer I would have gladly bought the rolls plus others he had to offer. I guess it pays to email and see who your dealing with up front.

If it's a straight BIN with no submit an offer, most sellers would be miffed at your inquiry, regardless of "welcoming emails". His response was unprofessional, not at all surprising. If you could submit a best offer, be glad you didn't win.

If you could submit a best offer, be glad you didn't win. I definitely see the error in my wording in the original post. Lesson learned for sure. I've been asked so many times for little discounts here and there I really didn't give it much thought when I asked. I usually get a no and then buy anyway. Oh well, at least I don't have to use one of my 500 blocks to avoid him in the future!

I've given offers before, sometimes people will accept them. The guy was rude and I totally agree that he should have just politely turned it down.

I conquer. He's definitely a jerk, the family friendly version of the word I wanted to use. Incidentally I've never been turned town from making an offer on fixed price BIN coins. I've had them not go as low as I wanted, but they've always come down at least a little.
On my recent AU58 1909-S Lincoln the BIN price was $295. I sent him a PM showing closed auction prices and offered $240 and he took it.
Is it just me, or are almost ALL certified BIN coins overpriced?

From what I have seen almost ALL BIN certified or not are overpriced.

lets add marleycandles1962 to the list. This is another guy whacking coins out of problem slabs from heritage and selling them on ebay, usually idiot bidders overlook the flaws and bid high. Kind of a repeat of the roberta3303 thing.

I am also adding mastreasurechest, seems like a sketchy seller posing as one of those 'selling my husband's old collection' type stories. Knows wayyyy too much about coins for an ordinary person who supposedly knows nothing about them, also recently bought a lot of stuff from a Chinese replica seller.

this is a very long list of discouraged sellers and I was wondering if there was a comprehensive list of them somewhere. I did look around but my wife often tells me I don't look very well so if I missed, please excuse me and forward where that link might be. I would love to avoid the sellers that have known issues and fully utilize the knowledge of this forum.

weavus135, No, there isn't a link to a comprehensive list. I would recommend just going back about three pages and making a note of the userids of non-recommended sellers. This thread goes back to 2006 and many of those listed are no longer selling on ebay or change their userid every six months to avoid negative feedback accumulation. Before contemplating a significant ebay purchase, you could ask if anyone has positive/negative experiences with the seller. Many folks do that here (ask in the main ebay thread) and they get comprehensive and current feedback.
