I hate to tell you this but it is Machine damage or MD. It it shelf like in appearance and it makes the devices smaller . Also you can see especially if you look at the I that there is no separation of seriffs. For a good reference site on "double dies vs machine damage" you can google that exact phrase and a website called the double eddie will have pictures and explication of everything. Or coop might post images because he has an archive of images and examples.

VAMworld refers to it as Machine Doubling rather than machine damage.

Yes. Also called "shelf doubling", among other things.

Well its both damage and doubling. Let's not argue semantics until we can tell the difference. You'll also see PSD and PMD which is the same thing post strike damage or post mint damage.

I refer to it as machine damage because nothing is actually doubled. It is reduced on the devices from die movement, thus machine damaged.
