Guys I got mine today,i think someone else said early in the thread that their RP look good,I think mine look good too,after I been learning somethigs about what to look for.I purchase a 70 and 69 and found the problem with the 69,my RP look just like the 70 very clean better then any of my RP dollars that I have.I think it going o be a lot of 70 in this batch.When I save up enough money to grade remember my Johnson coin,what I said about it."smile" My medal look great but it have a shining silver spot on his jaw,i don't know do grader say that's a problem or not if they don't I'm going for a perfect set.A question guys will shining silver spots,do that downgrade your coins.

Got mine today. RP's might go 69, medals are nicer. Overall, pretty ugly design wise, however.
Johnson was the only future President I have actually met (so far). I was about 11 years old when Vice-president Johnson gave a Veteran's Day speech in my small hometown at the old football stadium. He and WW2 war hero Audie Murphy were both in the parade to the stadium. Amazing how just months later Johnson was thrust into the Presidency.
Have been able to get all the C&C sets so far, but especially wanted this one.

Got mine today as well.......both sets look great to the naked eye quality wise. The medal looks a little like Nixon.

Mine arrived while I was working today. Quick once over with the 7x loupe says 69 range on both sets, medals and RPs. After the doorbell stops ringing I will get them out of the airtites for a photo session, and post them up here.

Yeah Cascade, they started coming around 5:45, not even dark yet. Well I got someone to take over candy duty so I could take some pics. My technique sure makes the RP dollars look worse than they are, but there are a few interesting things. Both of mine have a hairline across the lips in the exact same spot, so I am assuming a die scratch. One has a scraped nose, seems to be my luck with this series to get proofs that slid across the floor or something.  Both of my RP's show some weak spots in the fields, and the same light hairlines on the bust that look to be from the planchet before striking? These showed up on the Ikes for me as well. The spot on Liberty's cheek on one was just some dust, not a flaw. Both Medals are really nice, and they are my favorite part of this series, so that is good. The first one is very nice, the second has a spot near the "O" in Lyndon, but is very nice otherwise. OK, here are the pictures!         |

Mine did not come today, which is find since I found some goodies at the coin show. Tracking shows it at the PO, but I guess it missed the sort deadline for today. No problem. I will have it Monday.  |

Mine are still on their way to the local PO. :( One of the few times I can curse living in South Florida. On well, I guess I will just have to sit on my patio sipping ice tea this early morning in the 80 degree and sunny weather.

Mine and my father in laws came in yesterday. Overall happy with them. Better than my Ike's and JFK's. RP looks good but out of 4 medals all 4 have issues. Milk spot on my two and looks like they dropped another and the last one looks like a brush stroke of grease on it right in the field in front of LBJ where your eye is drawn strait to it.
