Looks like it was just a mistake when designing the packaging. Ah well...
Well, at least the acknowledge it. That is the least I would expect.

Thanks for the follow-up on that. Pretty much what we expected.

Received my official "we goofed" email from the U.S. Mint today.

Regarding Your Recent Order

Dear Valued Customer,

Unfortunately there was a design description error printed inside the folder of the 2015 Coin and Chronicles Set - Lyndon B. Johnson. The text in the folder describing the silver medal reverse reads "The reverse includes the date of his inauguration: January 20, 1965." The text should have read "The reverse includes the date the president first took office: November 22, 1963." The Mint apologizes to its customers for this error.

This is the exact text that Atlas642 reported earlier.

So, when is the Mint going to fess up about the zipped-lip die scratch on some of the coins?

I was hoping that they fixed this part way through the printing run and that some of the folders were wrong and some were correct so that there was a variation and it might spark the series again like with Truman. Just a little pick up so it didn't end flat.

Yup. There would be those who would want both versions, creating even more demand.

Perhaps the Chinese counterfeit version will have the correct date on the packaging.

Modern Coin Mart just unleashed their "hoard" and priced the OGP set at $79/$76.67.
They currently shown 89 sets.

I'm surprised at the "low" asking price by MCM as they offered effectively $85.42 per set if one were to sell the sets to them. I guess those that were not graded 69 must be really bad then...

They ask around $180 for the graded 69 set (which cost them around $30 to grade both, for bulk discount).
So omxfl is probably right.
