I decided not to send any of my sets in which is a first for me. I was not impressed with any of my dollars and was tired of just getting 69's back.

I will say that my medals all looked just about perfect though...

Same exact boat fox. I didn't send in my Johnsons either and wish I would have skipped kennedy too but at least I got the black retro slabs for them

Every one had the same friggin nicks in the same location on his face. Had to be a die issue and not coincidental marks but not worth sending.

On another note that is logic based so it obviously didn't happen:

Since the set sold out on the same day of issue and just about all were shipped within a week why is there an "Early Release" cutoff date? Ummmm...HELLOOOO...they were all "Early Release"

The fact that graded 69 sets go for LESS than ungraded sets certainly doesn't justify the expense of grading. I'm only doing these because I already did the other three. And yes, Foxwoods, technically every one of these should be considered ER regardless of when they are submitted.

Decided to only send in one set this time with my best dollar coin and medal. While The PF 70 continues to elude me (PF69), I was able to get a MS 70 on the silver medal.

Interestingly, they also put the medal in the black holder. Before, they told me they couldn't do that.

Argh. I knew I should have skipped sending these in. RP didn't look great, but I thought the medal was a 70. Nope. PF68/MS69. Could have use that money to buy a known 69.

Should have just stopped with the Ike.

Ouch.

The sad thing is that I think the normal proof 2015 Presidential dollars are some of the best looking ones in recent years. I almost wish they had not done this RP for the C&C sets. I was not in it for the rarity anyway. I just like the sets.

I agree jbuck. Based on how the Native American C&C sets turned out, I think that enhanced uncirculated would have been a better choice.

As long as we are dreaming...

The set should have had a silver medal, bronze medal, regular proof dollar, and enhanced uncirculated dollar.
