It's hard to tell with the lighting. What does the rim look like? Could be lamination error? Copper is supposed to be on the indside but maybe the planchet was defective or thin. Could also be plated, or depending on what the color looks like in different light maybe just really really dirty?

I am here for constructive criticisms not someone running his oxygen hole should I bring boots cause seems like these forums don't help n its full of

Huh? gino. I would never assume to speak for John. However, the coin appears to have spent time buried. The tone is created by environmental damage. It is clearly not a mint error. BTW,  to the CCF! |

I found one this summer that looked a lot like it. It was on the edge of our gravel driveway in a wet area. I got the impression it had been there quite some time. This is on the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan, which all you Cent Stackers will know as Copper Country. Lots of iron in the soil as well. In short  environmental influence. |
