One Tael from Hu-Peh Province, Chinese coin. If anyone know the difference between the fantasy coins to the real ones, I'd be happy to learn a bit more.
Well I would say so. Besides the overall murky vibe, the chinese characters don't look too good eg. in the characters which mean Guangxu(emperor) they should be more sharp imho. After seeing some pictures online one can also find that the coin is completely bogus, because that is a bad dragon. I mean the reverse is completely wrong. 1 tael had this dragon - http://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/...-duid-125561 and the dragon you have is from cash/dollar design.
the Chinese are getting so good at replicas I have a friend who bought 2 PCGS Encased Coins looked like the real thing but were fakes case and coin. scary when you think about it
