Was given a very nice 1999 older persons, small obverse in change last night. Heaps of lustre but a few light contacts, still, been a while since I found one this nice .

Yes, from my noodling, they seemed to deteriorate very quickly this issue Strangely though, most of the small obv ones seem to have survived in better shape, then again, have only found 4 sm obv.

Found this in a bag from the bank this week. Best incused I have found. I am also finding a lot of other high grade commemorative 50c at the moment, maybe the tougher economic climate is opening a few more piggy banks at the moment. Sad if it is true, but good for us collectors.

G'day, I picked up an incuse late last year (previously reported): but it's very satisfying to add one to the collection, at a total cost of $0.50. Noodling seems boring, tedious, menial, and perhaps also childish ... but it's also inexpensive, dolphin-friendly, and biodegradable, so you only need the occasional "win" to justify the exercise. The 2001 upsets are becoming increasingly difficult to find. It's what Peter might call the 'occassional win'. They keep you in the game

Sean, that's a very nice incused! Sadly, I cannot find them "in circulation" here--but I do check those dealer bins.

How can you tell if the 2003 $2 are counterfeit, is it a good reproduction?
