If you're vision isn't much chop, like mine, the counterfeits are good enough to fool you, but when closely scrutinised with a loupe, they're really poor imitations. People with good vision should be able to pick them out straight away.

I'll have to give myself a refresher course on taking & posting photos, so I can show them here.

In the last week, I've scored 1 x Incuse & 1 x Scout Dollar through the till at my son's shop. There are often NZ coins, occasionally some Fiji and yesterday a US Quarter.

I seem to average between 10-15 coins per week that are confiscated on sight.

Received a 1996 Henry Parkes $1 coin in change today, pretty banged up but I haven't seen any for quite a while.
Also, nancyc, I searched and found an old topic explaining the differences of the 2003 counterfeit $2 coin and now understand how to pick them. Thanks to Brissyboy and the other contributors to the topic for their input.

Pulled a 1993 10 cents today. Didn't have one before and it's in a nice XF condition. Can't believe how tough the 10 cent collection can be!

Hey Mulatto, Welcome to the forum.

Well done on finding an Incuse. They're pretty difficult to find.

Congratulations Mulatto and my2cents! Oddly enough, I pulled a 2001 CoF 50c commemorating Norfolk Islands. I thought I'll never see them again. Nancyc, I'm still looking for the following 10c:

1969, 1970, 1971, 1978, 1979, 1985, 1994, 1997.

I find it a bit odd that I don't get much 10 cents back from circulation!

Gxseries, I received a '70 in change this morning you are more than welcome to if you like. Send me your address and it is yours.

Edit to add I also have a '69, '78 and 2 '79s sitting in my change jar you are welcome too as well. The '69 isn't great and one of the '79s has a scratch on it, but Nancy can probably help you out with better coins.

I'v got one each of 69, 70, 71, 78, 79, 94, & 97 put aside to send. Condition is average for circulation. The 94 & 97 are better than the others though.

I'll be sending them in the next few days.

Maybe if latman sends his spares as well, you can choose the best & spend the rest.

I've got a couple other coins to send as well. Just a little extra something.

Received another Scouts $1 in change and also a remembrance 20 cent piece. Had a look through a friends change jar and found two Millennium 50c cent pieces and what seems to be a Philipino 1 piso coin, the same size as an Australian 10 cent piece.

Finds from circulation for the last week are:
3 X Apec $1 coins
1 X Landcare $1 coin
1 X Henry Parkes $1 coin
3 X Kingsford Smith $1 coins
1 X Scouts $1 coin
1 X Year of the family 50c coin
1 X Charles & Diana 50c coin
1 X 1968 5c coin (trying to get a complete circulated year set)
Some are a little beat up but the scouts and apecs are in really good condition and are keepers.
Happy hunting everyone!
