Help With Byzantine Coin ID - Coin Community Forum

allranger Pillar of the Community United States 1391 Posts	Posted 10/04/2015 01:23 am I am not sure what this is. I was originally thinking it was Byzantine. The two figures are a little worn and the folds on their cloths don't look quite right to me. I go back and forth that it is a genuine ancient coin and that it might be some modern gaming token or "pirate treasure" piece. Some indications it might be a Heraclius and Heraclius Constantine follis? I can't make any legends out on the obverse. The Reverse has a cross, lambda and kappa. Crowned half-length facing busts of Leo V, bearded, and Constantine, beardless, each wearing chlamys; cross above / Large Lambda; K; cross above. DOC 19a; Anastasi 497; Spahr 375; SB 1635.
