1858-O Seated Half - Unlisted Blundered Date Variety?

baguyette13 New Member United States 12 Posts	Posted 10/05/2015 3:28 pm I recently acquired this 1858-O Seated Half (see photo of date) that appears to be an unlisted 'blundered date' variety. The 1 and first 8 appear recut at the base and the second 8 repunched above. Would appreciate any help in identifying the variety. Thank you. Report this Post to the Staff

baguyette13 New Member United States 12 Posts	Posted 10/05/2015 4:13 pm Thank you for your response......I am aware of 10 varieties (WB-101 through WB-110), but none of those fit the blundered date on this coin. Therefore, I am wondering if this is a 'new' or previously undiscovered blundered date. Report this Post to the Staff
oih82w8 Pillar of the Community United States 7840 Posts	Posted 10/05/2015 4:18 pm There are new varieties being "discovered" regularly. This one resembles the 1856-O 50C FS-301 (I think), I don't have my CPG in front of me. Report this Post to the Staff
