Fisher F2 Problem - Coin Community Forum

OspreyCoins Pillar of the Community United States 932 Posts	Posted 10/17/2015 5:52 pm Hello all, I have had my Fisher F2 for a little less than a year, and it is really good. Today I went over to a neighbor's house to ask for permission, got it, then went to the backyard, which is where I usually start. I went to hit the power button, and it didn't turn on.This is usually obviously caused by bad or exhausted batteries, but this was not the case. It was up and running last night, before I turned the batteries upside down to save the juice in them. So if it wasn't that, what else could it have been? I made sure that they were in correctly, and that everything was in order in the battery compartment, but there was nothing OOTO. Have you guys ever experienced this? How did you fix it? champco New Member United States 44 Posts	Posted 11/09/2015 12:36 am Turning the batteries upside down is a mistake. You are reversing the polarity. If the circuit is made you could be burning out a diode. Which is one way. To do what you want to do put something over the battery ends to isolate from the contacts.
