Quote: Never thought I would see so many Morgans in this thread! I think most people, including non-coin collectors, who see them realize they are simply a gorgeous coin and hang on to them and have hung on to them for decades. I would have to rank it as my favorite coin followed by Winged Lady dimes. Only one coin for 1890.

Nice Heavy Metal! I've been enjoying the ride through the 1890s. Missed an opportunity to post my 1893 but glad it wasn't needed. I am surprised to see the larger denominations represented as well, but I don't search Halves or Dollars...but maybe I should? I think my wife would divorce me if I did. I like being married, so I'll leave those discoveries to my fellow enthusiasts and enjoy the pictures here! Well done folks!!

Quote: but I don't search Halves or Dollars...but maybe I should? Just ordered another box of halves. So far I've had way, way, way, more success with customer wrapped rolls but finding CWR halves that aren't turned in by another CRH is tough. A short while back I missed out on 10 dollar coins a customer turned in by one day. Someone else saw them and grabbed 'em first. The teller didn't know if they were Morgan/Peace or Ike's. Although the date is barely legible, here's an IH for 1889.

Good to see this one still moving along.

unfortunately for us north of the border, finding anything earlier than about 1920 is rare, however we are lucky that in most of our rolls we find coinage from other countries (mainly the USA) but others as well.
I am waiting to post some of these, but I think we have a while, as I think we may need more time to get posts up past 1870's

I know the OP is looking for coins found in circulation. I found a centennial token from 1876 in a roll of cents several years ago. Wondering if it would fit in this thread when the time comes.

One Morgan 1888-O for review. Changed the photography setup and taking new pics will require some practice. Coin is a bit darker than I want but she is a sweety.

Wow. Morgan dollars out of circulation in bank rolls! I am impressed. I've never seen a bank roll for large dollars.

Unfortunately, cleaned by my brother (or me) back in the '70s.
