I don't know. Maybe this stays open as the first thread (labeled as such in the thread title) but create a new thread when a year anniversary occurs without an update. This way the fun can start again giving new members an opportunity to show off some interesting finds and original posters a chance to get a more recent find into the mix. If the new thread gets past the stalling point of the original thread, then the original thread is locked. This way the most active thread takes its place as the furthest back we can go. Otherwise, the second thread can be closed if, after a year, no new updates are posted keeping the original thread active as the furthest back we have gotten.

This is how I do the other HFBCWG topics...

A new one runs along side an old one that is stalled. When the new one catches the old, the old is locked and a new 'new one' is started. Right now we have a 4th edition running with a 3rd edition that is stalled at 1487. When the 4th reaches 1487, the 3rd will be locked and a 5th started.

That being said, we can start a second CRH edition if there seems to be interest.

That's what I was airing out (but you stated it better). It works for me. I tried to kick in sparingly on the first go around as I was more curious about what others were finding. I'm always amazed at the finds members have accumulated. Let's see what the others are thinking.
