I have seen a very well executed fake of the 1928 on the site we cant post here, with a nice tone and authentic looking luster. I am inclined to call the 1928 a fake since the rest are.

Help me out here, folks: does this Voldemort site begin with "D" and another initial? PM or email me if you know what it is. The picture I posted earlier of a 28 Peace is a fake I got from a site that seems to have about every counterfeit a crook could ever want to move.

It's the site we do not talk about. Its almost like Fight Club (if you've seen the movie) and what's the first rule of FC?

We do not talk about fight club.

What's the second rule of FC?

WE DO NOT TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB!

Spreading the names of certain sites is counter productive to the hobby. We're all better off not knowing about it.

We can see all the most popular counterfeit coins right here on the CCF to get our education and that's good enough. As a matter of fact, in this very thread there's a half dozen to learn from!

The only coin that appears somewhat genuine to me is the 1928 Peace.

A very "NEW" member on here just posts a bunch of pictures of coins that are suspect saying they're inherited...

And hasn't replied on this thread in weeks.

I suspect that the OP was either a scam artist trying to find out really how good their coins would hold up. Or the even the makers of the fake coins themselves.

Upon reading this thread if you were the "maker" of said fake coin you just got all the feedback on the "markers" of your product. This education would only prove/assist the makers in making a better product in future generations.

Or he just got disappointed or didn't want to believe it. But still food for thought nonetheless

A quick google search of username will lead you to their ebay store. I know nothing about counterfeits, but they have lots of coins listed... My guess would be maybe they came across an unusual lot and wanted to get the ccf experts to check them out or maybe they wanted to see if their counterfeits would pass detection from our ebay monitors. I'm not saying this person is scamming people bc I don't know enough about counterfeits to tell you if these coins are listed on their ebay listings, just thought I'd mention this to our ebay club

The 1871 SL Dollar is most definitely fake. The 1893 Morgan date is wrong, and therefore, IMO, fake.

I agree the Chinese coin is a heavily counterfeited type. I personally can not ID this a fake, however.

The 1928 Peace dollar may or may not be real. The details are mushy but that may be the strike.

The 1921 Peace dollar may or may not be real.

The Lincoln Commemorative Half Dollar appears to be real (to me anyway), but cleaned/polished.

Yes...and I tried to look up the cert # for the PCGS 1 oz gold panda for $1700 and it seems to have too many numbers in it. Perhaps I did something wrong, or the PCGS panda slab is fake?

That's just unjustified speculation. Give me some anecdotal evidence from the seller's pictures that they are counterfeits. They look fine to me, at least the Peace dollars do.
