<<Early Turban, your gold collection, which I have seen plenty of on the CCF, is really remarkable. Did you buy these coins decades back or in recent years?>>

The early gold part of my core collection has been a labor that's taken over 15 years to accumulate. My Southern mint gold collection goes back even further - 25+ years.

I like to finish a set and then go back from time to time to improve it. The only set I have where I feel it really looks good are my Peace dollars. My Walkers and LSQ's look the worst because most of the SLQ's minus three are just in Fine condition at best. The Walkers range from VG to MS60. The early ones are the ones in VG condition for the Walkers. I have to deal with the 1916 LSQ when I feel like spending the money and the coin must have a good date. I won't buy one with half a date missing. That rules out most coins on ebay with less than VF condition. Now we are talking the big bucks for a small, thin, worn coin that is not that beautiful in lessor condition.

I almost broke my record today on an 1860-O Seated dollar. However, I would have been way over budget for this show and I had already picked out some other coins I really liked. Maybe next time.

I might break my previous record soon

I'm so close to buying it but not quite there yet. I'll probably have it in a week . I just love the classic busts.

I need both Seated dollars and a Trade dollar. Getting closer.

What two commemorative half dollars do you have? What two are you eyeballing for the other holes?

I have a nice circulated 1893 Columbian expo and a heavily cleaned Carver/Washington. I'm not really sure about the others, I'm not really into commemoratives.

I kind of hate to say it, but the most expensive coin I've ever boughten is my ICG MS-63 PL Morgan dollar for $75... However, my goal is to purchase a $2.50 gold Indian Quarter Eagle by the end of this year (I think I can do it because I get $100 cash for my birthday in december and $100 cash for christmas)

I'd highly recommend saving another $100 or so for a mint State Quarter eagle. It'll probably cost more than $300. The better the grade, the better the appreciation.

COTW, you're only a teenager? I think you're the only person I've encountered on CCF that's younger than me.
