does anybody has an idea why the thickness of the first three numbers is different then # 5?

That, and the fact that the base wavers above the digits makes me suspicious.

To me, there is nothing suspicious about this well worn dime. 1845 quite a few repunched digits and dates

I am unsure which Fortin variety you have.

I assume the variance of the digits is a product of the digit punch matrix, not repunching. The coin is from the F-105 die pairing.
