The edge of this coin is not visible due to the NGC holder it is in. Does anyone know if there are any other diagnostics to tell which edge this is? I want to re-slab it if it's a scarcer edge variety. Thanks!
(It's graded XF45 by NGC currently)

Your coin appears to be O-102. According to Overton, O-102 GENERALLY comes with theXXX edge, which is the most desirable of the group. The coin has been cleaned and has some light scratches which COULD get it body bagged if resubmitted. Crapshoot but I think I would try it, especially if you have a dealer close by that submits lots of coins to NGC. Downside, that edge has always brought a premium, so why wasn't it noted on this current slab? Food for thought.

Might try just having it reholdered, that would get it into a pronged holder so the edge can be seen, would cost less, and if they don't holder it you still have their guarantee to protect you. It probably won't get the edge design designation on the label but the edge can be seen so put the designation on your own sticker on the holder.

Sent the coin in for reholdering, conserving, and variety attribution. All they would do was reholder it. It surprisingly doesn't have the xxx edge even though it has reverse A. How is this possible? Is there a die marriage with this reverse that is not xxx edge? Thanks
