While looking at this coin, I noticed there was something different to the right of the top flower. It looks like the flower petal is doubled,or possibly an extra stem/vine is there. What does everyone think?

Those pics are too small for me to see what is going on.

Here are some larger pictures of the two error coins. Thank you for your input. I agree with you both that the "caterpillar" error is a die chip, after looking up what a die chip is. Any ideas on the possible DDR flower or extra stem/vine coin above?

I just found one of these with the exact same "caterpillar" die chip and yes I do think there is an extra leaf as well. Sorry for lack of pics. Still new to this whole coin hobby. I'll try to get some posted. Been a couple months of diligent searching with no love lol. Can officially say I've now popped my "error cherry" !!

POSSIBLE NEW DDO AND DDR FIND? Can someone look at this and tell me if I have anything here? I'm seeing dd on the obverse liberty, in god we trust, quarter dollar, the mint mark and on the reverse lower flower leaf. Both sides are slightly off center as well. The coin is not in the greatest shape either. So if anyone can give me some info and advice on what I should do with this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I found a Blue Ridgeway Park quarter with complete smooth edges no sign of ever having ridges is this a keeper or should I spend it like normal? Thanks for any help.

To James 77.. I'm pretty new here so I don't know all the etiquette yet, but you should probably post your stuff in a brand new thread on the Forum so that it gets proper attention. It would also be good to get some crispr images despite your coin shape, which is further complicated buying what looks to be some lds Die Deterioration Maybe. In my novice opinion it Looks like you probably have have abundant Mechanical Doubling, but it also looks like there may be something else going on too so better pics would help.

It is a coin was struck a die that is reaching retirement. The lines you are seeing on the fields are called flow lines. The devices also flow towards the nearest rim. When the die is really getting old, then the inside parts of devices start flowing towards the rims. No premium for these, a large percentage of coins are struck with later die state dies. (50%)
