Once again AOL has decided you're not grown up enough to decide what is spam and what isn't. They have decided you're not allowed to get your forum generated emails.... and they're not telling you or putting it in your spam folder. Just *POOF* because they know better than you.

I use gmail and I received a welcome email when I joined, but I don't think I have ever got much else.

Well if you don't subscribe to topics or forums and no one emails you, then you wouldn't. Hardly ever have issues with gmail here. AOL is all the time. Subscriptions and member to member emails right now to AOL emails are all bouncing. They are not going to the users spam folder. AOL has decided they shouldn't see it at all without even asking them.
