Must be a lot of hoarders out there. I'm just starting to see lots of 2007 coinage.

i usually get cents around the middle to end of january, dimes around march, nickels april, and quarters vary between a week after release and 6 months. then halves, well, I'm still waiting to find a 2001 in circulation =p

The first quarter of the year, Oklahoma, was just released yesterday (1/28) so you won't see them for a while(unless you happen to live in the Sooner state  ) Edited by biokemist6

Shiny new pennies are the best; they're so classic. It'll probably be late February before I see any 2008 coins.

However, I did find several very nice 2007 Lincoln Cents in my change today.

Here in England, they don't produce the new years coins until about May. And then, by the time they are fully in circulation, you find them around August time. As some others may know, the English coinage is undergoing significant changes for the first time since decimalisation in 1971. I was thinking of buying a proof set of the "New of the Old" incorporating all the current designs with 2008 dates. But I'm still looking forawrd to the new designs.  |

Just asked my teller today when I was picking up my Halves box. She said she has them, but cannot hand them out until Valentines Day. Sounds like she only has $1 coins though.

I just happened to ask at the bank today not expecting any but guess what! I came home with four rolls of Oklahoma P quarters. :D

Wish I would have known Lucky--dumped all my State Quarters last week. I know I had to have had a few AU jersey coins... --Gary EDIT: still no sign of 08s here in NYC. My teller told me yesterday to expect the State Quarters around the end of the month Edited by GFR3
