1949-P, 1980-D & 1997-P Lincoln cents. These are the only post 1930 Lincoln cents I havn't found after searching tens of thousands of cents.Where I live, the 1997-P is very common, easily in the top 20 most common pennies I find in roll. Getting Denver pennies is a lot harder and the 1980-D is missing from my collection too.
Finding wheat pennies is another story. So many people collect them simply because. While at the local library I stopped by the check out counter and asked a librarian if anyone had paid a fine with Kennedy's of Ike's hoping to get lucky.
She actually looked in the registers for me but found none. She then mentioned that if she sees wheat pennies, she keeps them ('

') She's not a coin collector, just likes to hold onto wheats, a lot of people do.
Finding a 1949-P in the wild can be done, I find 40's and 50's all the time. If you get lucky maybe someone has a stash of 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's wheats and can spare you a coin or two, just ask.
My goodness, what would one do with such a stash? Tease fellow CCF members?
