Wait! I haven't said anything in this thread yet! As someone who used to own and operate a popular forum for a couple of years, and as someone who used to moderate here for a time, and as someone who has been asked to moderate on several other forums and as someone who either actively or periodically posts or regularly lurks about every coin forum you have heard of, I will say that I think Susan has been more than fair. A good forum needs a lot of things to keep it interesting and fresh but drama, and those who constantly create it, are not one of the things that they need.

I think GCL could square this up if he could get over his anger issues. I have sent him PM on another forum that he chose to ignore, but I hope he can stick it out here and keep his temper under control. This is a great life long hobby that is easy to enjoy.
It is difficult being his age and I had my problems at that age also. The most important thing to remember, especially in this forum, is that people give advice, not criticism. If you look at the advice as criticism you will always feel angry and full of bile.
I think this is a very kind forum, and as far as I know the only one with a designated "Mom" which makes it even nicer.
So, thanks to Susan for all of your hard work!!!

Please, for the love of coins. Remove this kid. I can't stand this type of self pitty. Clearly he is lacking confidence and searching far and wide for attention. Both negative and positive. We continue to reply to his horrible rhetoric, it's only going to get worse. Sorry, but I just have a problem with this type of posting. I have enough drama as a mod on my other sites. Stuff I put up with. I like the drama free feel I get here when I stop in to say hi.
sorry...You have wonderful site here. Fantastic to be exact. I'd really like to see it not tarnished (no pun intended).

Naw, sorry to disagree with you. I to have mod many many type channels, even live ones on mirc--Tolerance is hard trait to have when u r a moderator, gotta have a thick skin. I guess maybe I can take more since I have been insulted over minute things, over the internet and in my face. It takes a better man to walk away than to fight , I have done both. I learned with age that walking away is the wiser move, even knowing that I can kick your ars-- Therefore, I suggest we blow this off, and give the kid a chance to get his legs under himself---Especially since HE is a coin lover--We must be more tolerate of different views--Spank those that break the rules--It really is simple.. GLC needs to grow up, move on in here AND get rid of his collection being posted under all his posts--I am sure he will comply-- CiScO

As a Moderator on this forum I have been watching these threads and speaking to Susan on a regular basis. Goldcoinlover clearly knows the bounderies. When they were crossed, proper actions were taken. We will continue to encourage his growth and membership on the forum as long as he follows our very simple and basic rules. By no means should we allow exceptions that allow other members to be attacked or otherwise offended. He is afforded this same considerationn and protection as a member in good standing. Let's do all that is reasonable to accommodate as many individuals under that umbrella as we can. Peace, Mike

As Big brother on the forum,
Everyone has had a chance to air their feelings. No more needs to be said. If you want to say it stand in front of a mirror and do so.
We are family. we will have some disagreements, but we will also have some discipline.
Like any Great marriage, the partners do not always love each other each day, but the good one stay together and work out their differences.
The idea of this forum is to educate others as well as ourselves in the area of coins.
Yes The moderators allow for some fun & personal posts. We will continue to do so as long as this remains a family friendly forum.
If you read other posts, you will see we have a great variety of ages and experience in collecting.
All are welcomed and we can all learn from each other.
My last recommendation is that anyone who is having trouble with another member work it out privetly with email or as they say in Australia - Go walkabout- which is inviting you to take a hike for a while and come back when you cool off.
I would like to thank each of you who have contributed to this thread. Now it is time to drop it!
I am asking Mike and Susan to join me in stating that if this thread is continued in other parts of the forum, "It will be deleted"
I am proud to call all of you family. for thiose of you who are new and do not understand this post,- ignore it and enjoy the many wonderful educational post on coins on this forum.
Teach others.
