Obtained this piece for my collection recently and noticed some strange wear on the reverse by shield/wing. Judging from the luster I find it hard to believe it was caused by extensive circulation, however it is slightly underweight at 11.2grams and could have been cleaned I suppose. Any thoughts or analysis will be much appreciated! (I apologize in advance for the low quality images)

Thank you all for the quick responses -- I'll have to do some research on various types of greasers!

As for the sms designation, that's just what the seller claimed. I suppose it could just as easily be a business strike.

The shield and wing look a bit blurry, but it looks like there might be a number of contact marks. I really cannot tell what I am seeing there.

What about the fact that it's missing an entire groove on shield? Is that further indication of a grease strike? I'll try to post some clearer pictures under better lighting. Once again I appreciate everyone's input.

With the slightest amount of grease on a recessed device, it prevents the coin from having a full strike in that area. The fact that it is not smooth tells me it is a grease issue. If it were damage, we would see some scratches. Also the left wing is showing the same thing in that area.
