1 box yielded 37 buff (done discoloration, but grades VG+/F-), 70s proof, and a minor MAD. Below avg number if pre-60. Best was a 48s and a 60 in BU

just did my first nickel box of the year, and it was awesome!!

It started off with some good older coins in the first few rolls. 3 keepers in 2 rolls. I ended up keeping about 25 pre 60s, with lots of s mints. Considering 25% of the box was brand new, it was great to find all of the old coins mixed in between.

There was 46s, 47s x2, 48s. 54s x2. Heck, there was even a 1950!

But what I could not believe was when I found my first 1939s!!

Follow link below. Found 1943 Japanese coin in a bag a few weeks ago. Just got it identified today. My guess is some Soldier/marine brought it back here from the pacific theatre. Very cool to me as I am a history guy as well.

Picked up first box of year. I usually only get rolls for nickels (or at least that was 2014 me). 3rd roll was no date buffalo, found a partial date 1929 around half way mark. No silver and pre- 60 count isn't high so far. Still got 15 rolls to go through tomorrow.
Highlights of first 35 rolls:
2 buffalo
3 2009- 2 d and 1 p
2 hole fillers- 1956 and 1959
2002 50 francs union monetaire ouest africaine
2003 50 pesos republica de Columbia
2 of my favorite Bermuda 5 cents with Fish

I am sure I seen the 49-s and 52. I just did not have them in my checklist of the nickels I needed until about last month when I noticed the mistake I made.

Super find Carlos!

Skibs - it's the darnedest thing sometimes. I struggled with 1942 D. You never know I guess.
