Reverse reads "MONETA NOVA ARGENTEA", New silver money. The rest of the coin is too worn for me to read anything else useful.

This is going to be from Europe, most likely 1600s or very early 1700s. The inscription probably indicates that the fineness of the silver had recently been adjusted, as was extremely common in those days. In this condition, this is probably a $10-50 coin, depending on what it is. I would try one of the German states for starters, and see if you can read the inscription in the middle of the reverse.
