If you need some more contrast, just add enamel!

Ms. Kitty White and a black poodle whose name escapes me (Doggy Black?)
The black part of the umbrella is just your usual proof coin surface.

Here's the only coin in my collection I know nearly nothing about. I bought it just because it looked cool

On the lighter side.
A recent purchase.

Someone created the cameo with a swab and coin dip.
Canada's foremost TPG then slabbed it.

As a newbie, I have never seen a cameo coin "in real life", only in pictures. In fact, I only became aware of them recently with my new found interest in coins, so I see them on coin sites and in the Red Book..They are very eye catching, I can see what the draw is. Eventually I may add one or more to my collection.

The Australian Decimal Proof coins are extremely well made and are very affordable if you want to get your hands on some cameo coins

Cameo 1950 Proof Half. Sometimes it seems that when PCGS makes their TrueView images, they are not done in a way to accentuate the background as dark. This coin does have the cameo designation.

I was just going to say, Lincoln Penny cameos may not be as pricey as some others, but the polished copper fields contrast nicely against the profiles.
