Does look like a Cud with the weak strike on that area on the obverse and looks sunken in there also. Wait for an expert. I am making a somewhat educated guess. |

A weight would be a great help on this one. If it is over 2.5 grams, then it might be solder added to the coin. On a Cud the weakness is on the same side as the Cud but lower or higher depending where the Cud is.  The weakness I suspect on the OP's coin looks like it was held with pliers or something while something altered the coin. Note also the outside edge of the area in question is not rounded. It should be with the reeds present in that area. So I'm leaning towards an altered coin from what I can see so far. |

The "blob" almost appears transparent to me. Could it be a blob of glue or perhaps even solder?

weight is 2.5gr,,blob" is not glue, metal for sure, but looks added ,do you think it is counterfeit coin or just plated?

It doesn't quite look real, as the entire coin has a porous texture which makes me doubt its authenticity, although I don't know why anyone would counterfeit a coin worth little more than a dollar. The blob looks like solder.

Not a Dryer Coin. On a Dryer Coin both sides would be affected the same. On this one, there is a large lump on the reverse that looks like something was added. On a Dryer Coin the metal get rolled over on the edges. The edges on this one look normal except for the lump on the reverse. |

The edges look a little rolled to me and all the devices lack detail, like it had rolled around in a dryer.

The blob looks like a hunk of common solder. Could the other damage be the result of the coin being around a soldering iron?  |

Considering it affects the side opposite to the large blob on the reverse, I'll say that's solder.
Heat it up, see if it starts to bubble up.
