Eight hours total on two lower Michigan county park lakefronts, Chistmas eve. Nailed over a half dozen rings, 1889 IH, 1858 FE, 20 wheats, 1904 Barber dime, and 14k gold -

I will attempt to put up photos soon.

Big congrats on the flying eagle
While awaiting pics, let me ask a you a question.
Do you think the strange weather this year makes it
easier to detect metal in the ground right now, less roots, moisture, etc.
Going detecting tomorrow at an unoccupied old house in northeast Ohio.

Oh yes. Great soil moisture content. Less geese and goose poop on the lake.

Good luck with the old house!

The time flies when you're having fun! That, and usually I've had it wrapped up for a few weeks. These balmy temps have really extended the season.

I've been using the Detech SEF 6X8" coil recently, really takes the weight off my Explorer. Otherwise, swinging the 10x12" takes quite the toll on my arm after a couple hours. I usually don the Minelab Pro-swing harness, makes my heavy detector swing like a feather and I can go all day.

I tried and had no problems uploading photo files.
The Flying Eagle cent is rather toasty, but I may try some restoration later.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

You got some decent rings there.

I can't tell from the pictures but it looks like one has a tiny emerald surrounded by tiny diamonds. One looks like garnets.

The one on the far right looks substantial and if it's gold and not just costume jewelry -- that stone might be worth something.
