I got a 2016 P Lincoln from a couple rolls I bought at a bank in western PA yesterday - make that two! I thought that fella looked different than a 15 at first glance

I'll get a couple more boxes of cents here soon (maybe this weekend) and then I maybe I'll get some 2016-Ds.

I got one 2016D a couple of weeks ago and nothing since. However, large amounts of shiny new uncirculated 2015D cents and dimes have been showing up in change recently. I suspect the local Fed (Kansas City) is running through their late 2015 coin stock.

I'm starting to get 2016-D cents frequently now. But no other 2016 denominations.

So I rarely ever see D mints in Ohio here until 1-2 years after release. For example, I just recently saw my first 2014-D dime in the wild. So, I typically just buy a roll of D mint Lincolns (as posted earlier in this thread), stick a few in my Danscos and give some away.
So, today I get my first two 2016 coins in circulation today and what are they? 2016-D Lincolns! Go figure. They are a little beat up though...copper doesn't wear well.

Quote: So I rarely ever see D mints in Ohio here until 1-2 years after release. Same here with Philly coins. When I searched two bricks of cents a couple weeks ago, they were about 35% 2013/14/15-D, while the newest P coin was a single 2013.

Got four cents in change from McDonalds in Atchison, Kansas, today.
Three were shiny new barely circulated 2015-D. One was a bright shiny new 2016-D. That's the second 2016-D I've gotten this month.

Haven't seen anything other than 2016-D pennies...congrats to whoever had the Shawnee quarters, nice job! I believe my first 2012 coin find was the El Yunque quarter---nowadays it's hard finding anything other than 2013/14/15-D in ATB Quarters.

Just about a week ago, got my first Dime and LC. The dime displayed severe Die Deterioration to the point where I could see the Starburst affect under the scope and of course the LC was loaded with die chips on the reverse. They were both Philly's.

Got another 2016-D penny in change yesterday in Lawrence, KS. Nice and shiny and looks fresh from the mint. That's my third 2016 cent this month, two in Lawrence, one in Atchison, KS. Been seeing lots of 2015-D lately too.
The other three pennies that came with yesterday's find were 2014-D (circulated but still in good shape), 2008-P (bad shape, lots of green ick on this one), and 1983-D. The '83 was actually just as pretty and shiny as the 2016. Wonder where it has been all these years.
