Just found this today in a CoinStar of all places. Just a single coin in the tray and popped it straight into my pocket, thinking it was a copper penny it was so dark.

Didn't look at the date till I got home and freaked. I'm guessing AU55 dark. What do you all think?

AU-53-55 , I wonder if a 2 or 3 second silver dip would take away some of that darkness. you don't want it to look like a full mint bloom on a circulated coin.
Great find.

lol.......my son has found a merc at our local coinstar too, under the machine. Great find, 55-58 at least. If these idiots only knew how much profit they are losing due to it kicking out silver! They should be kicking out these garbage zincies.
