I have a very intense coin collection and thought I had seen it all... until this came across my desk and totally stumped me! I'm guessing altered... but want to make sure.
The 1950 Canadian Nickel is Magnetic, with a diameter of just under 2cm... the edges do not appear to have any welding or gluing marks...

Absolutely true! Often the best answer to a question in one that leads down a discovery path of knowledge. This forum is been an absolutely fantastic means of learning in that context, in fact it's contributions such as yours and others that keep me interested in the hobby!

I don't get it, is cannon and redlee the same person? Very snarky remark for someone asking for help. Oh well, you came to the right place to get help, even though it wasn't given to you exactly the way you wanted it, but the responses are correct from my screen.
Sometimes posters use abbreviations or terms not heard of, but it's all just a Google search away or found in the glossary section, had to use it a couple of times.
I think they're just trying to teach a man to fish rather than giving a man fish.

The researching part of collecting is one of the reasons we are involved in this hobby, For me personally it is one of the best parts It is immensely satisfying to be able to find the information yourself , but if that fails then 99.99% of the time our learned numismatists on CCF will point you in the right direction
