Not something you see every day. Picked up at a local coin shop in Ottawa, a true melt bucket rescue. Simply an incredible die clash. This coin now resides in a friend's collection, and he has given me permission to share it with you here. As a long time error collector I have to say that is one sweet die clash... Is the other side clashed also?

Yes, the clash is equally as impressive on the other side. Don't forget, these were Canada's first proof struck coins, so these dies clashed with so much pressure, that even some of the design was imparted into the shallowest areas of the devices (which is hard to imagine). Again, the owner of the coin has allowed me to provide this photo.
