I just wanted everyone to know that I for one appreciate their time when I have inquiries about Coin ID or authentication. When on occasion I present a coin, regardless of my personal delight at owning said coin, I have no issue with any inquiries or suspicions any of my fellow and more experienced members may have. I don't take it personal and truly have an open door policy in this regards. Some of you may recall my Augustus RIC 162b, which did indeed present some concerns due to the lack of palm leaves on the palm branch being held up by the soldier. I did acquire the coin from a reputable auction house, which I gladly disclosed; in the end was sufficiently satisfied. It may seem cliche, but apropos to say, It is business not personal.

Quite right their is some amazingly knowledgeable members here ( perhaps too knowledgeable for some ) but if I had unknowingly got a counterfeit coin I'd want to know about it for sure.

I am very disinclined to outright call a coin to be a fake from pictures only, unless it is very obvious.

Unfortunately as far as 'provenance' is concerned, I have found that rarely has it been proved beyond the allegation stage. That does not mean a subject coin is a fake, but it does mean that testing and further inquiry may be indicated in the absence of 'provenance', and an opinion from an ancients specialist professional may be required.

Mind you, there is a very good body of experience right here in the CCF, to help in the inquiry of fake coins. Education is one of the base reasons why the CCF exists.

You really need to see the coin 'in hand' to better form an opinion, and even then, I admit that I can be fooled.
Nevertheless, I will express my suspicions or not, if the question about 'fake' has been asked by the O.P.
