I have had this item kicking around with me since the 70's. I'm certain it is not legal although I did receive it as change from an old style pull handle cigarette machine. It is not magnetic. Anyone ever see something like this before?

Thanks for any info,

It looks real to me also, however, look at it compared to what I know as a real half dollar.

The one on the left (1974) is bigger due to heavy inflation that year!

See how thick the smaller half's details are? That, combined with its smaller size could mean it's a cast novelty coin, and thus not legal tender for spending. I assume you got it for a dime?

LOL... I thought the motto looked crowded in that first photo. Yeah, it's a novelty coin, plenty of them on ebay.

It is not illegal because even though it is a copy, it is a novelty size.

It is a bit smaller in diameter to a dime and a tad thicker, closer to a nickle. I searched here and ebay last few days and couldn't find another. After changing my query today, I found one which is same year.

Thanks for the help
