Quote: How do you like the glow function. Does it add anything to the coin. I trust my 8-year kid here. After looking 5-10 times on the 1-st GITD he bored with it. The coin is "officially" in his possession and lying somewhere. (I sold my set, and the Australian Aurora GITD coin as well). So the GITD is great on the lego star wars lighsabers and other lego mini figures, but not on the coins. If in this year RCM will strike the coin for Ukraine to commemorate the tragedy and the memory for victims of nuclear plant explosion in 1986, on the coin might be "Radiation" GITD sign.....

Okay that was disappointing, I tuned into the coin show to see this wolf coin. Somehow it sold out prior to airing. I could buy 10 at 2am mountain time last night, at 6am the ad disappeared. So who of you, inhaled 4,000 units. ebay listings are only a handful currently. I don't get it. No one has any stock, how can it disappear in 1 day after public release. The image must of spoke to people. I am so disappointed, Steven only showed the coin for a minute. I didn't get a very good look at it. It was great to see other new releases.

Watch out for the salesman. They can present whatever they want. It doesn't have to be factual.

Well I suppose the good thing is for sure this isn't the last RCM coin ever.......what, just another 190 or so more to come before the end of the year?

Similar experience with my grandson. He had much more fun in the dark shining a lazar light around on the wall, chased by our cat.

I'm waiting for this coin to reappear with a huge price increase. There was no hype around this coin. Steven didn't get a chance to do his spiel on it. Part of the fun is hearing him gush over the coins. I play a game of spot the fallacies. Now I wait for the mint to deliver mine. Even my Rep didn't gush over this coin. Apparently they just saw it briefly with no glow function. Only time will tell. Most sought after coins were dismissed at first. Two years from now who knows.

The mint is still selling these coins through their official ebay.COM store. Although, it's not eligible to be shipped to Canada, even though it's coming from Ottawa. So is it really sold out? Or is the mint playing a shell game to create a false perception of high demand. This is a sneaky tactic and I feel it's insulting that they think we are all so gullible. Im interested if the mint would ever be willing and transparent enough to put a units sold counter on their official website, like on their ebay store.

Anyone else see this coin for sale on ebay by the mint. I try and it shows me nothing they have. Is it blocked for Canada. I don't understand how 4k coins can disappear in 2 days. The only dealer listing it is CA for $209. There is something strange. Other coins that sell out could be had other places.

Quote: I don't understand how 4k coins can disappear in 2 days. This is always happens with commissioned coins. They sold out quickly from RCM and bit later the commissioner distributes them for issue or market price. I recall exactly the same with "Autumn Bliss". At the end happened that the coin went out of focus forgotten.

Who commissioned the Autumn Bliss. I saw a sold for $130 last week, so it is still a sought after coin. I still need to pick up the next 2 coins. Just so many coins. Collectors in 80s 90s had it much easier.
I am amazed there is collectors that spend 69k on nclt coins. Makes my collection look paltry.

I find the coin pretty ugly. If it's anything like the moon mask set, it won't do too well months after its release.

Thanks Mike, wow they sold 30. I wonder why they block it for Canadians. Anytime I look on .com it shows that they have no stock. I find it interesting the new ways the mint have chosen to market their coins. The ebay approach surprises me the most, as they are in competition with their dealers. I wonder how they manage the shipping, as they can be super slow at times. This wouldn't work with ebay. Now they seem to be getting exposure with the shopping channel, with monthly shows. So the mints marketing has evolved. any changes under the new president. It will depend on how the paint looks on the coin. Some paint has some texture, others look flat and pixelated. It would of helped doing a video like they did for first coin. Has the price of 2 oz coins increased. The Tim Barnard coin was only $169, are they inching prices up. The 2oz FV coin is $200. It seems they are sneaking in price increases.
