If you want it slabbed still, put it in a window sill for a year or two and let it tone down to more of a BN. I've been able to pull this off a few times now. Lincoln Cent Lover! I've got a cleaned 1856 Large Cent that's been sitting on the window sill for better part of six months now. It really hasn't changed at all. mdrosophila Pillar of the Community United States 724 Posts	Posted 02/17/2016 9:30 pm This is why I bought only raw brown cents for old dates lincoln or slabbed. It will be way off. $60 is not a huge sum. But a detailed 1911 is not worth it. I will be mad. Report this Post to the Staff
