Once you know there is more than one of these sets, there's no chance it's remotely worth 500.00

So seeing that they have 10 for sale, 8 more available on ebay, 16 sold on eBay+ 3 others on here that said they have one, we are up to at least 39. I assume there is ALOT more out there that we don't know about.

I think Darryl has Colonial Acres mixed up with the first ebay auction that sold for $500 from The Coin Shoppe

Now that you like 90 days to return things on ebay , it's no wonder the first sold got returned plus the listing was a little untrue.

Wow value is dropping fast on this set. Colonial Acres has an auction ending in an hour, with only 4 bidders at $115. Auction # 381539213720. I wonder how the set do a year from now. The first seller has a BIN for $500, I doubt they get that much They have another error set # 381539006666 at $104 ending in 43 mins. These just keep geting lower.

This 2016 Uncirculated Set.......remember when it was first released by RCM and their photos showed a 25c without a date, and the toonie and loonie without security features? Someone replying on behalf of RCM responded to a question about the loonie, suggesting the security feature was dropped. Wonder how many people ordered a set because of that misinformation? Later the reply was acknowledged to be an error. Once the sets were shipped, low and behold a few sets contained a 2015 loonie. Wonder how many people picked up additional sets hoping for an error set? And so I wonder how many sets have been sold by RCM beyond the typical volume because of these errors?

Another question would be, how many of the additional ordered sets, were returned once there was no 2015 loonie. It will be interesting to see what the 2 CA auctions bring tonight. It seems the value is dropping fast, after more sets appear. I doubt the Coin Shoppe will get close to $500 now. They have not accepted 2 offers.
It just shows first to market with a perceived rarity gets big bucks.

I don't recall a packaging error ever before getting any fan fair whatsoever. That makes it quite an anomaly. The "first to market" might be true in the case of NCLT sell outs, but with error circulated coin most often that's not true. Because the collector market is broader and does not chase after new release, it takes awhile for people to become aware of the legitimacy of errors and as new collectors enter the hobby, demand often increases along with the price. For example if I came across a novel 2016 toonie error and flung it on ebay, it would most likely be met with scepticism in that potential buyers would suspect that it was fake because nobody ever heard of it.

According to someone earlier in this thread the first set was returned or cancelled as it was relisted with same serial #, ebay has a really long return policy now so it's no surprize on this item. With all the units offered it's not even a 50 to 60 buck item, there's a chance there is hundreds of these sets out there.
