I found this 1998 D nickel in pocket change.Wondering if it is some sort of mint error.Any replies appreciated. Thanks & Hello from Arkansas.

This is the reverse of the 1998 D Nickel.

it could be Struck Through Grease or some other substance, however I think we need better image. can you edit the image, crop out everything but the coin, and then re-upload?

I found a 1982-P nickel that looks almost like that mine was from die wear.

I can see some possible (coin wrapper roller?) damage under we trust the circular damage from (vending machine or coin wrapper or etc) leads me to believe it is post mint damage
