Auction item, raw coin, but maybe decent price.
Might grade XF, seems to still have some original luster, but cleaned or not would be the concern. Ideas?
So as not to embarass myself, I'll wait to post what I paid. Hint, not nearly the price on the 2x2.

AU-50 and possibly details for a cleaning. Luster is pretty flat looking.
Rest in Peace

AU 50, and the flat lack of luster often seen on a Peace that's been over dipped.

If, say AU50, what percentage of the value would a details grade take away?

Check ebay prices in closed sales. You can see raw and certified and can compare what they look like. Ramp the prices from least to most expensive on closed sales.

Agree AU-50, but not so sure if it's been cleaned.

It's kinda frustrating that every raw Peace dollar on ebay seems to have been scratched up and cleaned looking. And no one seems to notice because they almost always get top $$.

This is a very costly coin in MS ... key date of the series in fact at MS63/64. By photograph this coin is not MS.

I'm thinking XF/AU .. not much grading help ... but do not see by photo the cleaning that others are concerned about.
