Quote: I have to say, I stared at the mountain goat coin for way too long before I actually saw the mountain goat.
The Mint now has the photos of all coins in this series. The first one seems to be the best, the rest are just bad. I guess some things are better left to imagination
Imo, the idea of "Imagination series" isn't for coins. Cards or similar - maybe, but not for serious coin collectors... "Look, the mountain looks like a goat" - means that mountain purely designed.
"Geometry in Art" series way better and already took this niche.
I'm happy to see that already, like the coins or not, we're starting to see a change at RCM. Lower mintage coins. Better marketing (rep videos). Better, with room for improvement, pricing. I can't think of a 3000 mintage coin going for $50, aside from the birthstones. Perhaps there has been recently but none I can recall.
Thanks for posting the video...I'm still voteing for the cherry tree, however might be abit biased because I got one similar to it in my yard during the spring time....The snail made me chuckle abit because it looks like something else that often finds itself in my yard on a daily basis.... :)
Just had a quick, but sincere, message from my RCM rep.
He thought I posted a link to the above video, and he contacted me asking that the video be pulled down... not sure if you could help here @CC-Ottawa?
From the sounds of things, the RCM would like to keep videos - like the above link - private for MC members. I completely understand this rationale... it's one of the perks of being a MC member.
