On this and the other forum the figure mentioned was ALWAYS 3000. Not a single person mentioned 4000 coins. Even at 3000 is too high a mintage . Guaranteed to be a dud, especially it being so ugly. The 3rd gold Superman coin was way better looking and it is still widely available for issue or less. And the 3rd coin was only 2000 mintage, so how could the market absorb 1000 units more? Especially for a $750+ tax coin; we are not looking at a $120 dollar coin like the egg coin that is easy to absorb a loss if it tanks. They aren't about Batman or Superman, but just movie themed colorized "tokens" as Commems mentioned. No doubt part of them will find the buyer, also people probably will try their luck with the gold coin. For me the best price / quality ratio has the simple lenticular coin, with relatively boring design, and good looking card. Report this Post to the Staff

None of the coins in this release requires any skill or craftsmanship of a Mint to make, they just need some concept arts and a printer. They should leave this series to Perth Mint or NZ Mint.
