Lucky Cuss Pillar of the Community United States 4883 Posts	Posted 02/09/2016 4:14 pm The personification on the back is Aequitas (symbolizing fairness). The "AVGG", as I've been advised here, would indicate the period in Severus' reign when his son Caracalla served as co-emperor, and thus the coin would seem to date from sometime in the span from 198 to 211 AD. A shop lacking the basic expertise to distinguish Greek from Roman Imperial would worry me a lot on just about everything else. Of course, on the other hand, if you as the buyer know your stuff, well then, you can certainly score at such an establishment.
