Nowadays the mint is cranking out modern coins in the millions and billions. I havent looked at the numbers but I would speculate coins in the pre 1922 era would have received extra wear due to this stoppage. And therefore may be more rare in higher grades? AgHoarder Pillar of the Community Canada 818 Posts	Posted 02/11/2016 11:14 pm Pre 1922 King George V pieces in all denominations, besides only a couple of well known key dates (such as the 1921s and to a lesser extent the 1915s), are quite common and easy to get in higher grades. The mintages were very high compared to the Vickies or even Edwards.
