I've had this coin for years now and frankly can't remember how I acquired it. Possibly from my Dad. Any input?

I knew there was a 2000 medallion with the Millenium set of Quarters but this one is new to me.
One has been talked about on here before.

Gatewest Coins has it listed in their store under Special Limited Edition Products for 2001. It says included with map set of proof like coins (with a picture). :)

Had to add...you can buy the whole set for 9.95!

I got my set from gatewest as well, when it was on discount.

The token has an odd size, somewhere between a quarter and the 50-cent.

While yours seem only slightly toned around the edges, mine is golden in colour all over the front, and around the edges on the back.

Thanks for the input guys. I know it's not the value they're trying to sell it for on ebay but there simply isn't any mintage info I can glean for it.
Rest in Peace

That looks similar to the 'make-a-coin-yourself' that the mint used to do in Ottawa at the Boutique. You gave them a loony or twonie, (I forget how much it cost) and got a planchet in return that you then 'pressed' with their machine to 'mint your own medallion'.
