This guy is trying to sell 20 King Arthur coins Broceliande Borceliande is the name of the Magic forest in which Camelot is built The sword is of course Excalibur and the image could be wrongly interpreted because it is Merling the magician The two dragons symbolise the Bretons and the Saxons The red dragon has to kill the white dragon before the castle can be built Uther Pendragon ordered the building of the castle The guy even put pictures on a German forum and still is not selling He wonders why ( with several negative feedbacks for late delivery he probably does not have what he is selling at that price ) 1/2 ounce Broceliande 2007 only 500 pcs http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...20&rd=1&rd=1

Is there ANY subject which hasn't been covered by Monnaie de Paris? Railroads, famous firearms (thinking Annie Oakley and Winchester here ), famous ballplayers (baseball, soccer, volleyball, etc) - I wonder if these have been covered yet...

The US is the land of classic firearms: Colt, Winchester, Springfield, Remington, Ruger, Marlin, Browning, Stevens and several dozen (or hundred) other manufacturers (there were well over a hundred rifle and handgun manufacturers merely during the US Civil War). Monnaie de Paris could run a whole series on US historical firearms. They'd be a top seller.
I'm not so sure about John Wayne. Great western movies (as directed by John Ford), but his popularity slipped when he got political.

I am sure monnaie de paris have a very researched marketing approach
They did monuments of europe Art treasures of europe Kitty for the Japanese A proof lucky angel and general de gaulle for the french The Fairy tales The travel series ( London-Tokio-Paris ... The colored gold series The Europa Series The Tour de France coins
Someone on a german forum was complaining that it takes more then 500 euro in non gold coins alone per year I think they are doing 47 designs this year
The consensus was that most people were buying the coins they liked but nobody was going for a complete series

Appears to me Monnaie de Paris is minting all these coins since they don't have the storage area for all their gold. I'd be very happy to store it for them out here in the dry warm Arizona desert. Think of all the design, labor, and other costs it would save by storing it here rather than striking all those coins.

Nope They are minting those coins because they are the only European country I know of that taxes gold and they need an orfull amount of taxes like any nation these days

Not very popular Mme De Sevigne 1996 500 pcs half ounce With a starting price of 20% over melt I do not think it will sell Certainly not with the clear slide on the face First Monnaie de Paris coin I see with slide considering four layers of wrapping and a capsule that needs a special thin knife to open http://cgi.ebay.fr/500-FRANCS-OR-19...RE_W0QQitemZ190104168137QQihZ009QQcategoryZ66806QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
