Lots and lots of Mexican medals have low mintages. That 350 mintage is associated with a "special strike", which I know nothing about. It is demand that drives the prices. Mexican medals are not as popular as coins (which is one reason I collect them).
I routinely see a Mexican medal with 50,000 mintage fetch $100 or more. But I also see medals with a mintage of less than 2,000 go for under $100.

As you can tell, information on many Mexican medals is scarce. The definitive resource for Mexican medals is Frank W Grove's "Medals of Mexico" This one is in volume II. It only mentions a gold and silver version. No mintages are mentioned. I 'd like to know more about the 350 mintage figure, as PCGS does not reveal their source for this figure. The ebay listing for the "Nickel" version, I think is actually silver. It is in banged up condition and sold for an unknown amount (under $50). The medal you have pictured is in uncirculated condition, but it has been improperly cleaned. The fields have a multitude of hairline scratches.

2015 Mexican medal commemorating 55 years of the School of Military Engineers Not to be critical but they show a castle for construction engineers, a spherical bomb or smudge pot for industrial engineers, reel-to-reel computer tapes for computer engineers and flags for communications engineers. Mexico mint issue, mintage unknown.
