I got the idea from Jprine's post on RPM's. Hope you enjoy them. Comments welcome.   I hope you enjoyed them, I know I did. I found them both this month. For some reason beyond me, they are my first and second in 50+ years of looking for one. |

Yes definitely but I wasn't laughing at your collection I was laughing at what you said-but I'm sure you knew that  and that's more bar nickels than I have! Edited by Slamnbass

Yes I knew. I have no better friend on here than you. We know each other fairly well. I now challenge you to find a Bar Nickel before I find my third. Now that I have finally broke the ice with Bar Nickels I am feeling lucky.

CM - don't forget to find similar bars on 1962 nickels. Triple bars on some of those outer devices. And I may have a 1961. I'm fuzzy on that date though.

Really nice finds, I just learned of the Bar Nickels in the past month or so, no luck yet but it sure would be nice to find one. I don't think I have 50 years in front of me so hopefully I'll get lucky and find one in say the next 20 years.

I've never seen them but then I wasn't looking.
I suspect they were struck with late-state dies.
